I’ve been trying to experiment with different ways of creating engaging content, so for this blog, I have made a short video explaining what sustainability is and why we are currently living in an unsustainable world. Enjoy!
Sustainability is engaging in actions that meet the needs of now without taking away from future generations, this includes social, environmental and economic perspectives, which are interconnected and, therefore, do not work in isolation. Actions such as burning fossil fuels, overconsumption, inadequate working conditions, inequality, inequity, over-farming, and air travel lead to droughts and flooding from extreme weather, deforestation, increased diseases, climate change, violence, crime and increased living costs. All of which contribute to an unsustainable world.
What can you do to take individual responsibility for sustainability?
